Currently, we have a Title Officer opportunity with a Title company based in Kansas.Our client offers excellent growth opportunities, a value-driven culture, and a comprehensive benefits package.The Title Officer is responsible for the specific duties listed below:Conduct thorough title examinations to identify defects, liens, easements, judgments, or other encumbrances affecting property ownership.Prepare, review, and issue title commitments and title insurance policies.Analyze public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, court records, and tax records, to ensure proper legal ownership and property status.Coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and clients to resolve title issues and provide updates throughout the transaction process.Facilitate the closing process in compliance with state laws and company policies.Maintain accurate records of all title transactions and ensure proper documentation.Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or title examiners as needed.Required qualifications for the position include :High school diploma or equivalent; Title insurance license or the ability to obtain a title insurance license within 6 months of hire required.Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential title examination with a title companyExperience with title plant software, title production systems, or common data vendors (e.g., TitleTrac, DataTrace, TitlePoint) is a plusPay Rate Range: $55,000 to $65,000 annuallyCompensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
