What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Exceptions Specialist HOA position at Workway, Inc.?

Currently, we have an Exceptions Specialist HOA opportunity with one of the nation’s premier relationship-based business banks. Exceptions Specialist HOA responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Completing daily non-post reports.
- Reviewing large items daily.
- Processing daily Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)/Overdraft reports.
- Providing fraud intake support and resolution.
- Serving as the primary contact for outbound and inbound wire discrepancies and research.
- Resolving return mail exceptions.
- Clearing invalid account non-posts daily.
- Addressing stop payment suspect report exceptions.
- Managing Verification of Deposit (VOD) exceptions for unauthorized signers.
- Conducting client outreach on exception items through internal partners.
Required qualifications for the position include:
- 2–3 years of work experience in financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of banking processes, chargebacks, and returns.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
- 1–2 years of experience in HOA banking.
- 1–2 years of experience in adjustments/returns.
- 2–3 years of experience as a teller.
Pay Rate Range: $21.00 -$23.00 an hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
