The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading tooling, fixture, and manufacturing process design initiatives to support customer and production requirements. This role oversees engineering operations, tooling development, process improvement, and tool room management while ensuring manufacturing systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively. The Engineering Manager serves as a key link between technical execution and business objectives by managing engineers, projects, processes, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee and manage all tool room operations, personnel, and workflow
- Lead the design, development, debugging, and improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes
- Design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and related processes
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and cost reduction
- Analyze root causes of failures and recommend improvements to designs, tolerances, materials, or processing methods
- Develop and implement new manufacturing methods and process improvements
- Troubleshoot product, tooling, equipment, material, and process-related issues
- Review product designs for manufacturability, accuracy, and completeness
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and technical information to support production goals
- Design, install, maintain, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systems
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives throughout operations
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related engineering, manufacturing, or tooling experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong complex problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Systems analysis and process improvement experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD/design software
- Ability to research and implement new technologies and manufacturing methods
- Strong technical and mechanical design aptitude
- Quality control experience is a plus
- Effective organizational and time management skills
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
