What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooking and Crafts: Afterschool Instructor position at Workshops Essayer?
Workshops Essayer is seeking an energetic, reliable Instructor/Co-Instructor to teach hands-on cooking and craft classes for students ages 4–12 at private schools on Manhattan's Upper East Side and Upper West Side.
Most hours are spent teaching at the schools, with some virtual work each week. Our company is based in Weehawken, NJ, and instructors are expected to travel there occasionally for training.
Availability Required
- Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.
- Weekly hours vary between 12–20.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or teaching children (Pre-K–8th grade)
- Basic cooking and/or baking skills
- Experience with crafts, DIY, or other creative activities
- Strong classroom management skills
- Dependable, organized, and punctual
- Video filming/editing experience is a plus
A background check is required before employment.
