Junior Engraving Technician / Assembly Technician
Pay range is commensurate with EXPERIENCE working in a machine shop / Manufacturing / Engraving role
We would consider both an experienced tech with many years of time on the job, as well as a junior / trainee level. Also if you have Experience working as a machinist and or in Optical fabrication shop, we want to speak with you.
Duties Include:
- Assembling and Engraving for newly manufactured lenses / machined parts.
- Quality Control Check of parts coming from Machinists.
- Identifying Loss and Damage or possible repairs to Lenses during and after jobs.
- QC checking existing lenses for sales, rental and post rental.
- Converting and Shimming lenses for rentals.
We will provide training for the right candidate.
Role can transition into higher pay / Lens technician role over time.
Knowledge and experience with high grade cinema lens from Manufacturers such as: ARRI, COOKE, TRUE LENS SERVICES, FUJINON, ZEISS, GECKOCAM, CHROZIEL
Knowledge of Machining, Blueprints and Manufacturing is a huge plus. Ideal candidate understands Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances as it relates to blueprints for fabrication.
PLUSES: ADVANCED OR BEGINNER KNOWLEDGE OF CAD DESIGN, MANUFACTURING, MACHINING AND 3D PRINTING.
Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Photography and Cinematography basics such as exposure, F stops, Depth of Field.
MUST be polite, thoughtful and hard working.
MUST be able to follow through start to finish on checking lenses in and out, facilitating repairs and assembly/engraving
