Job Coach Trainer

Job Coach (Part-Time) – Decatur

Support students with disabilities in real job settings and help them build independence and confidence in the workplace.

Position Summary

Work Ready is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities who are participating in community-based Work Experience placements. The Job Coach assists students directly at local employer sites to help them learn job tasks, understand workplace expectations, and build independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to students during their work shifts.
• Teach and reinforce job skills needed for workplace success.
• Model appropriate professional behavior and communication.
• Support students in problem-solving and understanding workplace expectations.
• Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to Work Ready staff as needed.
• Assist in developing strategies, accommodations, or prompts to increase independence.
• Represent Work Ready professionally at employer partner locations.

Schedule

• Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00-8:00 pm
• Sunday 2:00-6:00 pm (potentially Saturdays with the same shift)

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Completion of UNT WISE Job Skills Training (online certification) upon hire (assistance provided).

Preferred Experience (not required):

• Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Coaching, Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Non-Profit, or other Human Services fields.
