What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workplace Consultant position at Workplace Interiors Of Buffalo?
🚀🚨We’re Hiring: Workplace Consultant 🚨 🚀
Are you a designer who enjoys working with clients just as much as designing? Or someone in business development who’s always been drawn to creative spaces and how they come together? If that sounds like you, this could be a great fit.
Workplace Interiors is growing in the Greater Buffalo market, and we’re looking to add a Workplace Consultant to our team. We work with clients across Corporate, Higher Ed, Healthcare, K-12, and Government, helping them create spaces that feel good to work in and actually function well day to day.
đź’Ľ What This Role Is All About
At the end of the day, this role is about people and making spaces come to life. You’ll spend your time getting to know clients, understanding what they need (and sometimes helping them figure that out), and guiding them through the process of creating their space. You’re not just handing something off, you’re part of the whole journey, from the first conversation to seeing the finished space come together.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
• Identifying new prospective clients and building relationships with key decision-makers.
• Leading the sales process from the first conversation through project completion.
• Asking the right questions to understand scope, budget, timeline, and goals.
• Developing creative, tailored solutions that truly meet client needs.
• Collaborating with your internal team to bring ideas to life and deliver a seamless experience.
• Conducting cost-benefit thinking and keeping projects aligned with client expectations.
🤝 Getting Out in the Market
This role is as much about relationships as it is about results. You’ll:
• Work with our Business Development team and Design team to connect with influencers in A&D, commercial real estate, construction, and facilities.
• Attend networking and industry events.
• Host or participate in events at our showroom and inspiration spaces.
• Meet with clients one-on-one (or in groups) to share what Workplace Interiors can do.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
• Someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and creating connections.
• Strong consultative sales and business development skills.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role—you’re confident, articulate, and personable.
• Ability to manage your time, juggle multiple projects, and stay organized.
• A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of design experience, B2B sales or account management experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally and stay active in the market.
✨ Why Workplace Interiors?
We’re growing fast, which means a real opportunity to build and grow with us and make an impact. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that works hard, celebrates wins, and genuinely enjoys what we do.
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine relationship-building, sales, and creativity, this could be a great fit.
