Description
Field Engineering Intern responsibilities primarily include office work to support WOS Field Operations with various clients’ oil and gas wells. The candidate will work a regular office works schedule during core business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) with occasional assistance required during evenings and weekends. to shadow experienced WOS specialists to gain hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and safe practices. At the discretion of both the candidate and WOS, the candidate can also assist with hands-on shop operations, machine shop operations, and in-person field operations to gain experience. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be comfortable with learning new tasks and working independently with high attention to detail.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in engineering program in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to learn new skills and execute with high attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, and to lift and carry up to 35lbs
- Mechanical aptitude is highly preferred
- Regular office work schedule with flexible hours and opportunity for remote work
- Safe operation of motor vehicles and comfortability around large equipment · Learn computer-based tasks in support of WOS field operations, including pre-well modeling, post-job performance analysis, performance database maintenance, customer presentations, and tool failure investigations
