Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable, safety-driven Class A CDL drivers for a high-demand local city position in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a home-daily role offering consistent hours, competitive hourly pay, and predictable scheduling with no long-haul freight. Drivers in this position run local shuttle and city routes, operate updated equipment, and receive guaranteed daily hours with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely within DOT and company standards
- Perform local city, shuttle, and yard movements as assigned
- Work assigned evening or night shifts (current start times: 6:00 PM & 9:00 PM)
- Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and paperwork
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and onsite supervisors
- Provide dependable attendance and schedule flexibility
- Pay: $27.50 per hour (pay increases at 1, 2, and 3 years)
- Home Time: Daily (10 hours off every 24)
- Hours: 8 - 14-hour shifts; guaranteed 8 hours/day
- Overtime: Begins after 50 hours/week
- Hiring Radius: Must live within 50 miles of Fort Wayne, IN
- Schedule: Must be willing to work any assigned shift; Saturdays required at least 3× per month
- Valid CDL-A license
- 6 months of recent CDL-A experience preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and varying shift times
- Must meet DOT medical and safety qualifications
