About this position
This position reports to the Food Hub Program Coordinator. This position is hourly, starting at $15.50/hour, with an anticipated 10-30 hours each week. Larger orders may require longer shifts or work on other days that may add up to a 40 hour work week.
Our regular hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
We aim to provide as much notice as possible as to when shifts will be scheduled, but currently our scheduling is based on orders that often come in with less than one week’s notice.
Some of the work takes place in a refrigerated climate.

Roles/Responsibilities:
Fresh-Cut Processing (95%)
- Participate in fresh-cut processing work, which may include prepping vegetables, engaging with heavy machinery, and bagging vegetables
- Participate in fresh-cut processing sanitation to ensure a clean processing environment
- Assist with other food hub programming, such as packing Full Fridge orders as needed
- If applicable, complete paperwork and support organization of digital and physical files
- Other duties as assigned by their supervisor
Food Hub General Duties (5%):
- Attend quarterly all-staff meetings
Qualifications:
- Communicative about availability and any absences from work
- Exhibits honesty and works with integrity
- Able and willing to creatively engage in responsibilities, and accept responsibility for outcomes
- Adaptive and willing to learn
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Driver’s license
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
