Title: Functional Safety Engineer

Industry: Automotive

Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: ~6 months

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative functional safety activities.
  • Conduct Failure Mode Effects & Diagnostic Analysis.
  • Review vendor documentation for components and boards to identify diagnostic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers and V&V team to confirm diagnostics functionality.
  • Develop requirements for safety-critical Hardware to perform Fault Injection Testing to comply with ISO 26262:2018.

Requirements

  • B.S. or higher degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Automotive, or Robotics Engineering.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 or other safety standards.
  • 6 years of experience in Board Level FMEDA and understanding SOC FMEDA.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Experience in Automotive Hardware Design & Validation.
