Location: Prince George, VA
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7am – 4pm
Pay Rate: $16.50
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks assisting lead mechanic to repair, operate and refurbish equipment.
- Install, repair, and replace mechanical / hydraulic parts
- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to equipment functionality and longevity.
- Maintain records of work done to all equipment.
- Maintain workshop and help track of tools.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned.
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 2 year of relevant experience.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Job Qualifications:
- Basic mechanic skills / knowledge of tools.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment safely and properly.
- Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Effective time management; maximizes productivity.
- Must have ability to lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 60-80 pounds each.
- Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching throughout shift.
- Standing for extended periods of time throughout shift.
