Nurse Aide Instructor (RN) *****NOT A FULL TIME POSITION****
Job Overview
The Nurse Aide Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and supervision to students enrolled in the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). This role involves delivering curriculum, supervising students in both classroom and clinical settings, and ensuring ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and prepares students to provide safe, compassionate, and competent care in long-term care settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training sessions utilizing various teaching methodologies.
- Supervise students during clinical practice, ensuring adherence to patient care standards.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of student performance, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, medical terminology, and adult education techniques.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas for course management and student engagement.
Experience Regulatory Compliance Requirement
The Nurse Aide Instructor must meet the qualifications and responsibilities outlined in 42 C.F.R. § 483.152:
- Be a Registered Nurse with an unencumbered, current Idaho license
- Have evidence of 2 years of experience as an RN with one of those years working in Long Term Care
- Have documentation of completion of an instructor development course; such as Train the Trainer or equivalent (can be done post-hire).
