What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Workforce Grants Network?
About Workforce Grants Network
Workforce Grants Network helps senior care employers fund employee training through state and federal workforce grants. We connect operators with funding opportunities, manage the application process, and ensure trainees complete their programs — turning grant dollars into real workforce development outcomes.
The Role
This is a hybrid role combining program management with grant writing. This role is a fit for someone who is equally comfortable on a weekly check-in with a regional VP or in the weeds of a grant deliverable. In this position, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for Senior Living Operators, ensuring their success in WGN’s workforce development programs. You will also contribute directly to the grant pipeline by authoring applications, managing training enrollments, and handling post-training compliance — making you a critical link between operator success and grant outcomes.
What You'll Own
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Corporate Headquarters and Local Community contacts at Senior Living Operators, owning the full relationship lifecycle.
- Lead initial operator onboarding, ensuring a smooth program entry and clear understanding of program expectations, benefits, and requirements.
- Serve as the primary client contact for document collection, coordinating submission of required materials for grant applications and post-training wrap up.
- Confirm that training enrollment occurs for all grants that receive approval, coordinating with operators and training providers as needed.
- Oversee training completion deliverables, ensuring all documentation required for grant closeout and reimbursement is collected and submitted.
- Collect ongoing feedback from operators to assess satisfaction, identify program fit issues, and surface opportunities for improvement.
You Might Be a Fit If You
- Have customer success experience, including time as the day-to-day owner of a customer relationship.
- Have 1-2 Years experience working in or directly with senior living, healthcare, or another regulated frontline-workforce industry - you understand how communities operate and feel comfortable speaking with an ED or regional VP.
- Are highly organized with attention to detail- you have the ability to manage multiple operators and grant timelines simultaneously.
- Communicate clearly and warmly in writing and on calls.
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving processes.
Why Join Us
- Make a direct impact on the lives of underserved populations - including single mothers, the most underserved healthcare workers, and their patients.
- Join a values-driven team that is humble, collaborative, and obsessed with delivering quality and winning.
- Help build something meaningful from the ground up - and the customer experience around it.
- Own a foundational role at an early-stage non-profit - your work will directly shape how WGN serves customers as we scale.
