Position Summary:The Sanitation Associate will support Operations by keeping working areas in a clean and orderly condition. To perform this job successfully, the Sanitation Associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are, but not limited to, representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to: Clean all processing tanks and vats, as well as cleaning or changing out filters as required Assist with maintaining daily operational production efficiency and sanitation duties. Assist with maintenance of all sanitation related equipment.Standing on production line assembling products for distributionMoving and preparing large quantities of product for production and/or shipmentClean and trim product per quality control development and customer specificationsRemove any defects in product that are undesirable in finished productFollow all GMP s with regards to handling the product and reworkUse a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Must be able to listen and follow directions.Read and understand work directions.Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of GMPs, lock out/ tag out, conveyors, mixers, gear boxes, control panels etc.Education and Experience2 years of experience in the cosmetic or food industry preferred.Forklift licenseWorking Conditions/Job EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
