Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Cherry Picker Driver / Reach Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. This vital role involves operating reach trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Duties

• Operate reach trucks, forklifts (including Hi-Lo and clamp trucks), and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using reach trucks and other equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage warehouse inventory through proper stacking, storage, and retrieval of goods in compliance with warehouse management system protocols.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to ensure safe operation of heavy machinery.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Support warehouse management in maintaining organized storage areas and adhering to safety standards such as OSHA.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and equipment operation.
• Participate in warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment and optimal stock rotation.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts (including Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and operating heavy machinery safely.
• Valid forklift operator certification preferred; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
