Location: California (Remote & Travel Required)

Reports to: Logistics GM

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Job Purpose: The Distributio Produce Logistics Manager provides functional support to our customer’s Produce PCC Director. The Produce Logistics Manager tracks inbound orders purchase orders, establishes the day-to-day plans for the PCC and all DC’s. Also supports provides data of Inbound / outbound shipment forecasting in support capacity tracking levels to include rate submission. Department of 3-5 planners.

Key Responsibilities:

· The Produce Champion works directly with our customer’s produce team managing all rate request, bid planning and forecasting.

· Implements and ensures compliance to these procedures Distribution Supply Chain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

· Collaborates with Logistics Supply Chain Managers to onboard supplier’s customer vendors and Supply Chain carriers in support of Distribution, and establish supplier specific SOPs.

· Responsible for optimizing Inbound delivery plan with consolidation freight mix and maximizing load utilization for outbound shipping load management,

· Ensures all Inbound PO orders have been planned to meet Supply Chain specifications and expectations, while striving to maximize speed service and efficiency.

· Proactively confirms accuracy of order information and actively communicates and meets with internal partners to provide solutions and gain resolutions to daily planning exceptions as they arise.

· Provides Responsible for all inbound / outbound shipment reporting and system updates to be performed per SOP protocols. timely communication to customers on all aspects of shipment status.

· Ensures all documentation and reports are processed in a timely manner and accurately.

· Documentation of comments, communication, and follow-up via the telephone to ensure the carrier performance meets the customer expectations.

· Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment, be able to think quickly and act accordingly

· Responsible for organizing daily operations meetings, willing to extend daily or weekly schedule when needed.

· Understands operations may require access to manager for any emergency arising outside normal operations 24/7 for emergencies, staffing concerns, etc.

Qualifications:

· Must have 2 – 5 years of grocery, cold chain industry fields at higher than manager level.

· Must have experience managing carriers, brokers in the transportation market.

· Must have experience in cold chain management both Whse and Transportation

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
