Key Responsibilities Configuration Quality Assurance
- Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews of network device configurations prior to deployment.
- Verify compliance with documented staging and configuration standards.
- Identify configuration gaps, errors, and deviations from requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues before deployment.
- Provide real-time guidance and procedural support during staging activities.
- Review and audit runbooks, playbooks, and operational procedures.
- Recommend process improvements and identify documentation gaps.
- Partner with senior engineering teams to refine technical standards and workflows.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate, actionable, and scalable.
- Communicate quality findings and deployment readiness clearly and professionally.
- Participate in technical discussions regarding deployment standards and quality requirements.
- Deliver status updates, issue summaries, and recommendations.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Coordinate reviews and approvals to support project timelines.
- Mentor junior team members and reinforce quality standards and best practices.
- Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise networking and security technologies including:
- Fortinet platforms (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Juniper wireless solutions
- Cradlepoint networking technologies
- Strong understanding of:
- Routing and switching
- Network segmentation
- VPN technologies
- Security policy management
- SD-WAN architectures
- Experience reading, interpreting, and validating complex device configurations.
- Proven background in technical quality assurance or deployment validation processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle configuration issues affecting security, performance, or compliance.
- Experience developing and maintaining:
- Runbooks
- Standard operating procedures
- Technical documentation
- Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively across teams.
- 8 years of progressive network engineering experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced networking/security certifications such as:
- Fortinet NSE certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
- Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP certifications
- Experience supporting large-scale multi-site network deployments.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments such as healthcare or financial services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with distributed teams and supporting remote deployment activities.
