Job Title: Junior IT Associate

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY (On-site, 40 hours/week)

Work Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm

We are looking for a Junior IT Associate to join a dedicated team, working to improve the operation and service provided to the company’s customers. If you’re a fast learner with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to see the big picture of a company’s IT needs, this is a perfect opportunity for you.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to grow in a small business environment, particularly with a strong interest in software systems and IT operations.

You will work closely with the company’s management, staff, and senior IT personnel to ensure smooth daily operations and support the continued development of the IT infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn, take initiative, and grow into greater IT responsibilities, including potential advancement into senior IT management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support to management and staff, resolving issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Learn and become proficient in our new ERP system (Epicor Prophet 21) and assist in user training.
• Collaborate with senior IT personnel on system improvements and long-term IT strategy.
• Operate within our software stack, including MS SQL, C#.NET (WinForms & MVC), WinBatch, JavaScript
• Assist in the development of new software applications and liaise with external software consultants.
• Support our e-commerce platform (WebAlliance).
• Additional ad hoc projects or duties as required by the business.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to understand and write queries.
• Strong aptitude for learning new programming languages, tools, and systems quickly.

General knowledge of:

• HTML/CSS, internet protocols (DNS, TCP/IP), and Windows networking.
• PC hardware, printers, and Windows OS environments.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset.
• Interest in understanding and contributing to small business operations.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (especially Epicor Prophet 21).
• Exposure to mechanical engineering or photography.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms or business applications.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually. Final offer will be determined based on relevant education, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
