Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and own projects from initiation through execution, identifying risks and issues, facilitating mitigation plans, managing budgets, and scheduling timelines for timely implementation.
Proactively build strong, trusted working relationships with Finance functional leaders and Business Technology partners to drive alignment and optimize project operations.
Provide structure and guidance to lead, motivate, and hold accountable project team members while delivering on priorities.
Drive and report progress against program objectives and goals, communicating efficiently and with a level of detail appropriate to the audience.
Gain a deep understanding of business challenges and overall goals to steer working teams through complex issues.
Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills, including strong verbal presentation abilities, to influence stakeholders and gain consensus.
Lead cross-functional alignment across multiple departments and teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and shared understanding of program objectives.
Apply proactive thinking to anticipate strategic challenges and develop contingency plans for programs.
Create integrated master schedules and manage critical paths for complex programs.
Build strong stakeholder relationships, influence key decision-makers, and manage expectations at various organizational levels.
Skills
Deep expertise in program management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Strong decision-making capabilities in complex program and project-related matters, including evaluating strategic options and assessing risks.
Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and foster collaboration across multiple departments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Deep understanding of governance management principles and their application to large-scale programs.
Demonstrated strategic alignment skills, ensuring programs directly contribute to organizational goals and objectives.
Proficiency in program management tools including Jira, Asana, Smartsheets, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.
Ability to balance structure and rigor with flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Workday Finance and related applications is highly desirable.
Experience
10+ years of experience in project or program management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful projects or programs.
Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple layers of an organization with proven success initiating change and influencing at all levels.
Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Experience developing integrated master schedules and managing critical paths for large-scale programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification strongly preferred.
Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) is a plus.
