Roles and Responsibilities
- Review and assess the current Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) and related financial structures.
- Lead or support FDM design, redesign, and optimization initiatives.
- Advise Finance and HR leadership on FDM strategy, architecture, and design decisions.
- Identify potential risks, design gaps, dependencies, and long-term scalability concerns.
- Develop recommendations for supporting new companies or entities within Workday.
- Evaluate and define Chart of Accounts (COA) strategy and related financial structures.
- Assess current-state architecture and develop a future-state roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with Finance, HR, and Workday stakeholders to establish architectural direction and achieve alignment.
- Evaluate the impact of FDM and organizational design decisions on financial systems, business processes, supply chain, and payroll.
- Provide executive-level advisory and architectural guidance to business and technical stakeholders.
- Translate complex Workday Financials concepts into clear business recommendations and actionable solutions.
- Support strategic decision-making related to Workday Financials architecture and organizational growth.
- Deep expertise in Workday Financials and Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM).
- Experience leading FDM design, redesign, or optimization initiatives.
- Experience supporting multi-company or new entity implementations.
- Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts strategy and financial data structures.
- Experience assessing current-state Workday architecture and developing strategic recommendations.
- Understanding of financial systems and business process alignment.
- Ability to evaluate implications across Finance, HR, supply chain, and payroll.
- Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
- Experience providing executive-level Workday architecture and advisory guidance.
- Experience developing future-state Workday architecture and transformation roadmaps.
- Experience working with complex organizational structures and multiple legal entities.
