Chain | Cohn | Clark has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney in our Workers' Compensation Department.
The associate attorney generally assists senior attorneys in representing clients in legal matters and plays an important role in managing cases from start to finish. This position involves representing clients in hearings, depositions, and trials before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, as well as drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. The attorney also conducts case evaluations, legal research, and witness interviews, while helping develop and carry out litigation strategy for each case.
Strong communication is essential, as this role requires working closely with clients, adjusters, and other team members throughout the legal process. The position also requires ensuring compliance with all legal standards and ethical obligations.
Qualified candidates should have a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, be active and in good standing with the California State Bar, and ideally have at least two years of workers’ compensation experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and familiarity with EAMS and WCAB procedures and regulations are also important for success in this role.
Salary is dependent on experience.
