Job Summary
Wellness Solutions, a WorkCare Company, is searching for experienced Wellness Coaches to join us at onsite screening and wellness coaching events for our first responder clients in California.
Additional screening and wellness coaching events are scheduled at various locations throughout California.
Events take place on weekdays during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PST). Each event ranges 3-5 days in length. Interested candidates must have a flexible schedule and the ability to be onsite full days for the duration of the event.
FMS (functional movement screening) experience is required. FMS Level 1 or higher certification is highly preferred; must be willing to obtain FMS certification within timeframe specified in the offer letter if not currently certified.
This position requires regular travel throughout California to support and attend various events, meetings, and engagements. Travel will primarily occur between September and June, with locations varying across the state. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and possess reliable transportation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct various on-site fitness screenings including blood pressure, body fat measurements (BIA), FMS (functional movement assessments), and various other screenings following ACSM guidelines.
- Conduct virtual wellness consultations/follow-ups with participants regarding blook-work results (Lipid Panel and cardiovascular markers) exercise, injury prevention and rehabilitation, nutrition and weight management, stress management, blood pressure, cholesterol management, and general health education. Provide additional follow-up services to medium to high risk individuals.
- Data entry to track program participation on wellness platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or related field required.
- FMS Level 1 or higher certification highly preferred; must be willing to obtain certification within the timeframe specified in the offer letter if not currently certified.
- Certified ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist or Certified by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (preferred).
- 3 years of experience providing wellness and fitness testing services and wellness coaching, preferably with first responders.
- Fitness testing experience (VO2 Max, Functional Movement Screen, etc.,) and fitness related certifications (CPR, ACSM, NSCA, CES, etc.,) are required.
- Outgoing and personable with a passion for health and wellness.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate participants.
- Strong background in injury prevention.

- Requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to kneel for extending periods of time while rendering emergency care and/or CPR.
- Some bending, stretching, and crouching, is required.
- Travel is required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer and mouse.
- Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds and climb stairs.
- Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.
- For virtual consultations: Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled. At home set up must meet all Company IT, privacy and safety requirements.
