CNC Operator Location: Grand Rapids, MI Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm – 2:00 am Pay: $20.00 per hourJob SummaryWorkbox Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our production team. This role focuses on the efficient and accurate operation of CNC mills and/or lathes to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of performing machine setups, monitoring production, and maintaining consistent part quality throughout the machining process.What You’ll Be DoingSetting up CNC mills and/or lathes, including loading fixtures, tooling, and adjusting work offsets.Verifying machine readiness and ensuring setup documentation is followed.Performing first-piece inspections and making necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications.Operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to established programs and drawings.Monitoring machine performance, tool wear, and part quality throughout production runs.Conducting in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.Maintaining a clean, organized workstation and following all safety protocols.What We’re Looking ForQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or technical training preferred.2 years of CNC machine operation and basic setup experience (mills, lathes, or both).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and precision measurements.Understanding of tooling concepts, machining practices, and CNC controls (Fanuc experience a plus).Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Why Join Us?Workbox Staffing offers opportunities for training, internal growth, and long-term career development in the manufacturing industry.Workbox Staffing Benefits:Weekly PayHire-In OpportunitiesComprehensive Benefits including Health, Life, and DentalVeteran-Friendly and Equal Opportunity EmployerReady to take the next step?
