At Backbase, we don’t just deliver software – we redefine how people around the world manage their finances. We are building a new team in Kraków and are looking for aSenior Android Engineerfor ourDigital EngageandCustomer Lifetime Orchestrator (CLO)domains.
What you'll do
You will design systems that are true game-changers:
CLO & AI Transformation:We leverage LLMs (OpenAI) and ML models for real-time offer personalization and content/image generation.
Conversational Banking & PFM Coach:We are building LLM-based voice assistants and chats that help customers plan financial goals and manage their accounts.
Global Scale:Over 100 financial institutions worldwide (USA, Europe, Asia, Africa). Your architectural decisions will impact millions of users.
Who you are
You have 5 years of relevant working experience working on complex Android-based products;
You have a solid experience of working with both Kotlin and Java.
You have a deep comprehension of MVVM as well as strong understanding of design patterns (eg: Creational, Structural & Behavioural).
You have experience of working with Jetpack, Retrofit or OkHttp, Coroutines, Flow, and Channels.
You have a solid knowledge of Dependency injection design patterns.
You have experience in writing unit tests with JUnit and you understand the testing pyramid.
You are familiar with CD/CI practices and understand core concepts such as Data Structures, Algorithms and System Design.
You have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
You have worked with Android Studio and Git in the past.
