Our client is known for delivering a high level of customer service while building a culture centered around accountability, growth, and developing strong leaders. We are seeking an experienced Plumbing & Drains Service Manager to lead and grow the company's residential plumbing and drain operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for team performance, revenue growth, technical support, training, and overall departmental profitability. The ideal candidate has successfully managed a $6M residential plumbing or drains department, understands how to lead through KPIs, and knows how to coach technicians to improve sales performance while maintaining an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of approximately 9 plumbers and 2 helpers, with responsibility for coaching, development, accountability, and performance. Oversee the plumbing and drains department's revenue, profitability, labor performance, average ticket, conversion rates, callbacks, and other key KPIs. Coach technicians on presenting options, communicating value, identifying additional opportunities, and improving sales performance. Conduct regular technician training, ride-alongs, one-on-ones, and performance reviews. Provide technical guidance and field support for plumbing, drain, sewer, and excavation-related work. Oversee larger drain and sewer projects, including dig and excavation work, ensuring jobs are properly scoped, sold, executed, and managed for profitability. Ensure technicians accurately document calls, opportunities, estimates, and customer information within ServiceTitan. Monitor job costing and margins to ensure revenue growth translates into profitable performance. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop plumbers and drain technicians as the department continues to grow. Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, customer service, documentation, and company standards. Partner with dispatch, customer service, operations, and company leadership to maximize technician productivity and customer satisfaction. Help develop and execute the long-term growth strategy for the plumbing and drains division. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Residential plumbing and/or drain service experience is required. Proven experience managing approximately 10–15 plumbers, drain technicians, or similar residential service professionals. Demonstrated experience managing a $6M plumbing, drains, or comparable residential service department. ServiceTitan experience is required. Strong understanding of residential service sales and technician-driven revenue. Experience with dig and excavation work, sewer replacements, and larger drain-related projects. Strong understanding of KPIs and how to use them to improve technician and departmental performance. Ability to coach technicians on sales, customer communication, and presenting service options. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable. Ability to balance revenue generation with job quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Must have significant experience in a residential home services environment. Candidates may be stronger technically in either plumbing or drains but must have enough knowledge to effectively lead the overall department. Preferred Skills and Experience Training or leadership development through Nexstar Network, CertainPath, or a similar residential home services organization. Experience scaling a plumbing or drains department through recruiting, training, and technician development. Strong understanding of residential sewer and drain operations. Experience implementing technician scorecards, incentive programs, sales coaching, and performance management processes. Experience using ServiceTitan reporting and data to identify opportunities and improve departmental performance. Work Schedule and Expectations This is an in-person leadership position based in Lansdowne, PA. Candidates may be considered from approximately one hour away from the location. The manager should be comfortable being actively involved with technicians and field operations rather than operating solely from an administrative capacity. Flexibility may be required to support technicians and department needs outside of normal business hours. Compensation and Benefits Base salary of 110,000–150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Performance-based bonus opportunity.
