In this role, you will play a key part in constructing and retrofitting commercial mechanical systems across the region, bringing engineering plans to life with precision, safety, and superior craftsmanship. Responsibilities and Expectations Read and interpret engineering blueprints, mechanical drawings, control schematics, and equipment submittals accurately. Scope incoming installation projects, prepare material lists, and help organize job site installation schedules. Assemble and install commercial mechanical equipment and associated components, including ductwork, refrigerant and hydronic piping, structural supports, hangers, and equipment bases. Apply core technical knowledge of air-side and water-side systems, including sheet metal layout, duct insulation, low-voltage control integration, air/water balancing, and heavy equipment rigging. Install, replace, and retrofit a wide array of commercial equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, rooftop packaged units (RTUs), split systems, and dust collection systems. Inspect work in progress and completed installations to ensure 100% conformance to engineering specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and local mechanical codes. Maintain a clean, safe working environment by adhering strictly to OSHA standards and company safety protocols. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of hands-on working experience in commercial HVAC installation and mechanical retrofits. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with job site superintendents, facility managers, and team members. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve field integration challenges. A dependable team player who aligns with a high-performing, collaborative company culture. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (EPA Universal Certification preferred).
