We're looking for a Senior Employee Relations Investigations Attorney to join our ~10-person Investigations Team. What You'll Do

Investigation Execution

• Own a full caseload of workplace misconduct investigations — harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ADA, ADEA, bullying, hostile work environment, and Title VII/Title IX matters

• Pick up cases once intake and pre-screening are complete, and independently build investigation strategy and plans

• Collect witness statements, review evidence, and make credibility determinations

• Write clear, well-documented incident evaluation reports with actionable recommendations

• Meet 100% of investigation timelines through disciplined case management

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout each investigation, keeping them informed at every stage

• Build trust quickly with clients, employees, and internal teams

• Navigate sensitive, high-stakes conversations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism

Compliance & Legal Expertise

• Maintain deep, current knowledge of Title VII, Title IX, ADA, ADEA, and related federal/state employment law

• Identify systemic organizational issues surfaced during investigations and recommend corrective action

• Ensure every investigation is legally sound and audit-ready

Leadership & Growth

• Mentor and coach other investigators on best practices for thorough, impartial investigations

• Build Work Shield's reputation as a thought leader in employee relations — contribute to external content, speaking opportunities, and industry visibility

• Grow into a recognized external subject matter expert on workplace investigations

What You Bring

• Active law license

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• 5 years conducting EEO or Employee Relations compliance investigations

• Deep knowledge of Title VII, Title IX, ADA, ADEA, and related employment law

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to handle confidential information

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent investigations in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Experience managing operations or KPIs a plus

Compensation & Logistics

• Salary: $115,000–$135,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus discretionary bonus tied to individual and company performance

• Location: DFW metro candidates work from our Dallas office 4 days/week (Wednesdays are WFH). Candidates outside the DFW metro work fully remote.

• Team: You'll join a 10-person Investigations Team reporting to the Director of Investigations
