Millwright – Lumber Mill
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Pay: $27-33/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6AM-6PM OR 6PM-6AM
Job Description
We are looking for a dependable Millwright to join our team at a busy lumber mill. This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for keeping mill equipment running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mill machinery and equipment
- Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are always done
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose equipment issues and make necessary adjustments
- Work with conveyors, saws, pumps, motors, bearings, and other industrial equipment
- Weld, fabricate, and perform general mechanical repairs as needed
- Help keep equipment running with minimal downtime
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain proper PPE and maintain a clean work area
- Maintain service/maintenance logs and communicate concerns with supervisors
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous millwright or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience working with industrial machinery
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to work as part of a team
- Completion of a pre-hire drug screening and non-DOT physical
