As an Employment Specialist you will help students learn and strengthen their life skills as it relates to employment and education.
A typical day might include the following:
- Guiding students to develop career goals and objectives
- Helping students create a customized resume and complete applications for either jobs or school admissions
- Coaching and preparing for interviews
- Assisting students at their job sites to ensure success and independence
This position may interest you if:
- You want to positively impact a student's life
- You have previous experience in high-touch customer service environments
- You are passionate about working with students (ages 14 )
- You thrive being part of a collaborative team, yet can work independently
Career growth opportunities – potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience:
- Management of a small team
- Informal leadership in sports, clubs, or civic organizations
Additional requirements include:
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
- Monday – Friday, daytime hours availability (flexibility offered for part-time)
- Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
