WORK Inc. is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Residential Services (Deaf Services) to oversee residential and independent living programs serving individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across the Boston South Shore Area.
This leadership role is responsible for the oversight of 5 residential group homes serving 21 individuals and Independent Living Services supporting 6 individuals. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director ensures high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with state and agency standards and promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, including on-call responsibilities
Salary: $72,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to house managers and program staff
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans and regulatory compliance (DDS, CARF, agency standards)
- Manage program budgets, facilities, and daily operations
- Collaborate with clinical and health services teams to support individual well-being
- Serve as liaison with families, guardians, and external stakeholders
- Provide on-call leadership and coordinate emergency response
Qualifications:
- Fluent in ASL
- Master’s degree in a related field (or Bachelor’s degree with 5yrs supervisory experience)
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing populations preferred
- Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License
