Position Overview
WCMS is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse III (RN) to provide full-time, on-site occupational health services at a large industrial facility in East Peoria, Illinois (61611).
This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality care, responding to workplace emergencies, supporting wellness programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The nurse will work independently within a dedicated on-site medical clinic while collaborating closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources, and site leadership.
This role requires limited travel to multiple WCMS-supported locations within the Greater Peoria Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational nursing services related to employee illness, injury, and health promotion.
- Perform triage, emergency response, and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct new hire physicals, OSHA surveillance exams, fit-for-duty evaluations, and drug/alcohol testing.
- Maintain clinical documentation, metrics, and reporting in accordance with WCMS and client standards.
- Support disability case management and workers’ compensation coordination.
- Collaborate with EHS and HR teams on safety initiatives, wellness programs, and compliance activities.
- Promote a culture of workplace health, safety, and wellness.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois).
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (occupational health, emergency/acute care, or similar).
- Strong triage and emergency response skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage clinic operations independently.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical record systems).
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Occupational health experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with OSHA compliance, ADA, ergonomics, and health promotion practices.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $55.00 per hour (benefit eligible).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (no weekends or major holidays).
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) with employer contribution.
