Job Summary
The Bulk Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk cement, fly ash, or slag from the port to various company locations. Job Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport bulk materials.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on equipment.
- Ensure accurate placement and securement of cargo.
- Maintain truck cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Unload materials using approved methods and follow all safety protocols.
- Communicate consistently with dispatch and maintain professional customer interactions.
- Complete delivery tickets and ensure accurate documentation.
- Primarily inside truck cab with some outdoor exposure.
- Frequent travel between company locations and ports.
- Exposure to loud noise, vibration, and seasonal weather conditions.
- Overtime may be required during peak seasons.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving; occasional standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
- Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (hoses and tools).
- Requires good vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception) and hearing for safe operation.
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience required; training provided for dump truck procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
- Knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
