What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server - Breakfast/Lunch position at Word of Mouth VENICE?
Word of Mouth is a high volume breakfast and lunch restaurant. We are seeking candidates that are to be a Server and host 1 day a week. Candidates must create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you’ll be the face of our establishment, welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism while ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
What you’ll do
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Toast systems, showcasing your ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, upselling specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area to uphold our fine dining standards.
- Process payments accurately through cashiering duties, ensuring all transactions are handled with integrity.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on menu changes
- Ensure guests leave happy, wanting to return again
Qualification/Requirements
- Previous experience in a high volume - breakfast environment required - at least 2 year preferred
- Must be available both Saturday and Sunday - able to start at 7am
- ServeSafe Certification in Food and Alcoholic Beverage
- Must be your own cashier, able to handle own transactions
- Must be clean, polished and friendly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.89 - $26.36 per hour
