Description
PURPOSE: The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of general maintenance needs including plumbing, electrical, hvac, etc.
Respond to assigned maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Check assigned work orders daily.
- Assess material or tool needs and communicate them to the Facilities Manager daily.
- Flexibility for on call service after hours and weekends.
Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, etc
- Have a strong understanding of plumbing repairs and installations
- Have a strong understanding of electrical circuits, single and three phase, for repairs
- Have general knowledge of AC electrical functions. Thermostats, contactors, capacitors, and low voltage switches.
- Perform AC system preventative maintenance. Replace filters, clean drain lines and coils.
Equipment Operation and Repair
- Responsible for light repairs on equipment, and campus work vehicles.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and tractors.
- Experience with welding and cutting is preferred, but not essential.
