What are the responsibilities and job description for the FL Culinary Hostess position at WORD OF LIFE FELLOWSHIP INC?
PURPOSE: The Hostess is responsible for setting the tone of a high-energy and excellent dining experience for Bible Institute Students, Campers, Guests, and Staff at the Word of Life Florida Property.
Cultivate a high energy dining experience for Campers, Bible Institute Students, Guests, and Staff
- Care deeply about the overall dining experience of everyone who enters one of our dining rooms.
- Monitor Drink Machines, counter spaces, waffle maker, toasters, etc for cleanliness and functionality
- Monitor placement of food items and how it benefits or deters from the dining experience. If something deters from a great experience, change it
- Work in conjunction with Student Life to cultivate a high energy dining experience for Student Events
- Work in conjunction with Retreats & Conferences to cultivate an excellent and classy dining experience for Conference Season and Special Guest Dinner.
- Manage Signature Dining Room (Conference Center) & Dining Hall (Bible Institute & Camps)
- Build healthy and strong working relationships with student service assignments, work for pay and other volunteers
- Assist Food Service Manager with scheduling student workers and volunteers
- Monitor and execute meal access control with integrity and accountability (Student and Staff ID scanning required for all meal access)
- Notify the Food Service manager of any maintenance related concerns with the dining halls
- The Hostess should walk table to table during meals for quality control and hospitality with those who are dining.
- Start & Finish Meals with excellence
- Ensure every meal is prepared to start on time from a dining perspective
- Every meal should begin with a full supply of plates, bowls, silverware, cups, napkins, condiments, etc.…
- Every meal should begin with a clean and well-organized dining room, ready to meet the dining experience expectations of our students, campers, guests and staff
- Every meal should be monitored, and items restocked when they are low, not out completely. No item should ever run out during a meal.
- Every meal should be closed on time or late, but never early

Salary : $14 - $15
