What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community & Fan Engagement Intern Fall 2026 position at Worcester Railers HC?
The Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL is looking for multiple FOR CREDIT ONLY Community & Fan Engagement interns for the Fall/Winter 2026 semester. Candidate would begin in December and end in April or conclusion of the season. Candidates must be current college students and must be able to dedicate 10-15 hours a week to the internship. Strong verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a dynamic, small-office environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, able to handle multiple tasks, and work long hours (evenings, weekends & holidays included).

- Interns will be required to attend all Railers HC events as requested (Including 90 % of our Home Games)
- Interns should be motivated to represent the Worcester Railers brand throughout the Worcester Community and at the DCU Center.
- Interns may have the opportunity to work office hours during the week and gain additional experience by attending community events and outings.
- Assist staff with all other game day related activities as requested.
- Pursuit of Community/Public Relations, Sports Management, Marketing or Business Management degree preferred.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with fans of all ages.
- Basic knowledge of ice hockey encouraged but not required.
- Must receive college credit.
- Available to work a minimum of 10-15 hours a week, including nights and weekends.
- Available to work majority of home games during the Fall/Winter semester.
- Must have reliable transportation and live in Worcester or surrounding areas.
