What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Worcester Cultural Academy?
Worcester Cultural Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing intensive behavioral intervention services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, social emotional, and/or developmental delays. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students achieve their fullest potential, skilled in data collection and analysis, and committed to collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 direct therapy to students both individually and within general education settings
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Consultants to implement and monitor individualized goals
- Utilize AAC and other communication devices for non-verbal students
- Collect, graph, and analyze daily data on behaviors, skill acquisition, and communication (e.g., manding, IT, video modeling)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client program books and data binders
- Prepare and submit progress reports quarterly
- Interpret data to evaluate student progress and goal mastery
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with parents
- Attend BCBA supervision sessions and team meetings regularly
- Respect and protect the confidentiality and well-being of all students
- Stay current with best practices through professional development and continued learning
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), specifically with children with ASD
- Active and in-good-standing RBT certification
- Proficiency in data collection, behavior intervention plans, and ABA methodologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with AAC devices and other communication supports preferred
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of care
