SUBJECT: DANCE TEACHER– PART TIME
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position is accountable for assuming the responsibility for delivering high quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the rules and regulations of the Worcester Public Schools.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:(to be included along with other responsibilities)
1. Willingness to participate in targeted professional development in content area
2. Ability to respond to flexible scheduling
3. Willingness to take on leadership roles at the school, such as coordinating activities, planning performances in the school and community, and communication initiatives.
4. Willingness to participate in after school and evening events for students and parents
5. Commitment to managing and maintaining the school’s inventory of supplies.
6. Willingness to work district-wide with other Worcester Public Schools teachers

8. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MA DESE Licensure in Dance All Levels
2. SEI Endorsement
3. Bachelor's Degree
4. Demonstrated mastery of content area knowledge
5. Demonstrated ability to provide rigorous expectations for students
6. Demonstrated ability to teach beginners and intermediate learners
6. Demonstrated understanding of using and analyzing data to drive instruction
8. Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and vision of Burncoat Middle/Burncoat High School.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
2. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.
WORK YEAR: 185 days
SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree with the potential to increase dependent on the highest level of education.
