What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Facilitator position at Woonsocket Housing Authority?
Summary:
The Security Facilitator is responsible for the enforcement of all policies, procedures and practices related to applicant screening, parking, check point access and the resident security check list.
Duties Responsibilities:
Maintain and order Verizon cell phones for employees.
Manage and maintain Smart Station Camera Systems, including producing videos for Woonsocket Police Department.
Maintain parking databases
Assist tenants with any personal safety issues related to security.
Oversee and train all new security answering service employees.
Coordinate with the Woonsocket Police Department on parking violations for all properties.
Manage and maintain GX System which includes programming doors, making photo entry badges for employees and tenants and maintains other security related equipment.
Fingerprinting all new employees and tenants to conduct a national background check, Prepare results and disbursing information to the appropriate person.
Produce a monthly report detailing the activities of security and answering service employees.
Manages and maintains the “Are you OK” program, the AED boxes and First Alert Fire Watch for all high-rise buildings.
Order 2-way radios for employees.
Coordinate the Security Training Program, which includes screening and recruiting.
Coordinate volunteer tenants’ patrol/crime watch.
Perform clerical and other related duties including, but not limited to answering phones.
Manages and answers all calls from the elevator emergency phone.
Order office supplies for the security department.
Maintain 911 emergency boxes.
Manages all outside alarm contract.
Complete additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent computer skills.
Completion of Woonsocket Housing Authority’s security training program.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Helpful, courteous attitude.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Prolonged periods of sitting with computer work and entering text or data by keyboard.
Must have the ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and move throughout the assigned office location.
