Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - $5000 Sign-On Bonus

Reports directly to: Director of Nurses (DNS)
Schedule: Full-time (30-40 hours), 2nd Shift
Pay: $45 - $50 per hour
Summary:
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of resident care on your assigned unit. You will act as a clinical leader, mentor, and key resource for our nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of nursing staff, including LPNs, CMTs, and CNAs, to ensure the highest standards of care. Supervise the performance of unit personnel and provide guidance and on-the-job training as needed.
- Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy accurately and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor residents' conditions, and respond promptly to any changes.
- Care Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary care plans that meet the holistic needs of each resident. Transcribe physician's orders and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise and thorough documentation of all resident care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including infection control and safety standards.
- Resident & Family Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and their families, providing education, addressing concerns, and offering compassionate support. Foster an environment of respect, dignity, and open communication.
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Must hold a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- IV certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of nursing best practices, as well as state and federal healthcare regulations.
- A sincere desire to work with the elderly and a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
