What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater/Extended Day Teacher Aide position at Woonsocket Head Start Child Development Association?
BASIC PURPOSE: To substitute for classroom staff in event of an absence; to provide extra coverage for an assigned classroom if all classrooms are fully staffed
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide back-up support to assigned classrooms, rotating between centers / classrooms as necessary.
•Assist classroom staff implement the daily educational program for children.
•Must maintain sight and sound supervision of all children at all times
•Encourage and foster open communication with parents
•Attend staff meetings, workshops, and other training sessions as requested by Head Teacher or to learn agency objectives and philosophy as well as specific job skills.
•Share information about children and families appropriately, always ensuring confidentiality.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
•Supervision of children is everyone’s responsibility
