What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Paraprofessionals - Per Diem position at Woonsocket Education Department?
This employee is responsible for carrying out the directions from the classroom teacher as appropriate as the paraprofessional forwhom he/she is substituting.Duties of this position include but are not limited to: * Follows established Individual Educational Plans to improve socially significant behaviors under the supervision of the Teacher and Building Principal/Director of Grants * Incorporates specific educational objectives into the context of on-going activities, as appropriate * Facilitates opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skills* Communicates with students' parents via communication log * Schedules activities as directed * Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing or as otherwise directed by the Teacher * Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts. * May need assistance with toileting and lifting, * Other duties as assigned.
