First-Party Property Litigation Attorney
Summary
We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years experience in handling first-party property litigation to join our fast-growing practice at . The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and the ability to navigate Florida's pre-suit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Navigate Florida's pre-suit requirements
- Prepare various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence
- Respond to Discovery Requests, including requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; prepare policyholders discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel
- Taking and defending depositions
- Coordinating with expert witnesses, including general contractors and engineers
- Attending mediation
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation/first party property litigation experience (plaintiffs or defense) on Florida cases
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Occasional travel required throughout Florida
