Job Description:
Are you passionate about creating innovative products for a more sustainable world? Sister brands wool& and Wool&Prince are seeking an Associate Designer. This position would be partnering with the Designer each season, from concept through final product. You would be working on the Product Development team alongside the Technical Designers, Associate Product Developer and the Product Development Director developing merino wool lifestyle apparel for Women and Mens products.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Designer on setting design and color direction seasonally
- Research trends, attend trade shows and shopping trips for style and material development
- Create color CADs using seasonal color palette
- Initiate and manage seasonal lab dip and bulk color approvals
- Create and maintain bill of material throughout season
- Conduct daily communication with overseas vendor partners
- Attend fittings to review prototypes and own updates to sketches & BOMs
- Track and manage all lab dip, artwork and bulk approvals against Time & Action calendar
- Update and maintain digital color palette and library in PLM system
- Create and initiate artwork packages for plaids, prints and stripes
- Partner with PD Associate for sample organization and tracking
- Work with Director of PD to research and develop materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Apparel Design or related field
- 2 years of relevant Apparel experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite. Optitex or 2D/3D pattern software and PLM experience is a plus (we use Centric)
- You are a people person and team player, able to contribute positively to team dynamic.
