We proudly serve North American customers with advanced technologies that deliver safe, reliable, and long-lasting transportation equipment.About the RoleThe Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement within assigned production areas. This position plays a critical role in meeting customer commitments, optimizing resources, and driving continuous improvement across processes and teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction ManagementPlan and direct daily production activities, schedules, staffing, and priorities to meet delivery and quality targets.Monitor progress against established goals, identifying variances and developing recovery plans for schedule, cost, and quality performance.Ensure efficient use of manpower, machines, and equipment while maintaining a high standard of product quality.Coordinate production activities with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Warehouse.Safety and ComplianceEnforce all safety protocols and ensure employees are properly trained and certified.Conduct regular safety audits, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and drive compliance with 5S principles.Promote a culture of zero incidents through proactive hazard identification and corrective actions.People LeadershipSupervise, coach, and develop production staff to achieve individual and team performance goals.Conduct regular performance evaluations in coordination with HR, providing constructive feedback and development plans.Foster a positive, motivated, and collaborative work environment that supports employee engagement and retention.Continuous ImprovementPartner with Methods, Engineering, and Quality teams to enhance process efficiency, work cell optimization, and overall throughput.Lead daily production meetings to review safety, quality, material availability, and improvement opportunities.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen quality.Reporting and AnalysisTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, and labor utilization.Review and approve employee time reports to ensure accurate project and cost tracking.Support long-term production planning and capacity forecasting.QualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Business preferred.3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities in a fast-paced environment.Working knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and ERP or manufacturing software systems.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production needs.Performance ExpectationsEnsure all safety, quality, and productivity targets are met or exceeded.Maintain an organized and efficient work area in compliance with company standards.Demonstrate visible leadership presence on the production floor.Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.What We OfferSalary range - $80,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experienceComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off, holidays and retirement plan coming soonOpportunity to work in a growing, innovative rail manufacturing companyCollaborative, team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Powered by JazzHRXMAC9roYsm
