Lead Material Handler

Summary

Woojin IS America (WISA) is seeking a detail-oriented Lead Material Handler to support inventory control and material flow for rail project operations. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered to production in a timely manner. This is a hands-on position that combines physical material handling with inventory tracking and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation
• Store materials in designated locations following company procedures and inventory controls
• Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas in alignment with schedules
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory records
• Identify, investigate, and report inventory discrepancies
• Maintain accurate data in inventory or ERP systems
• Assist with shipping activities, including packaging and preparation of documentation
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse and storage areas
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Issuing and receiving tools to/from employees
• Tracking tool check-in/check-out (log sheets or system)
• Maintaining tool inventory and storage organization
• Performing periodic tool counts or audits
• Reporting lost, damaged, or missing tools
• Coordinating tool availability for production needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred
• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Bilingual English/Korean a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment

Work Environment & Schedule

• On-site position, 5 days per week
• Location: Carson, California

Compensation

• $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
• Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications
