Position: Mobile Pet Spa Groomer
Job Purpose:
Performs grooming services by receiving grooming instructions, maintaining supplies, maintaining van and grooming work spaces and resolving pet owner concerns by performing the following duties:
Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain service request by discussing preferences from pet owners.
- Assess pet condition by interviewing pet owner and inspecting pet.
- Groom pets by providing professional grooming services utilizing grooming techniques, tools and supplies, including but not limited to: bathing, brushing, combing, trimming, shearing, dematting, drying, scissoring, clipping and filing nails, cleaning ears and deodorizing according to breed or mixed breed specifications.
- Apply special precautions for puppies, aged and disabled pets and removes flea and ticks.
- Express anal glands only upon client request – internal gland expression is unauthorized
- Control costs by conserving use of replenishable supplies and adhering to proper portion or dilution level guidelines.
- Control costs by careful use and maintenance of all equipment.
- Control pets by easing pet anxieties and reducing behavioral issues utilizing all available resources and techniques.
- Notify management of supply or equipment inventory needs.
- Keep all equipment operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
- Keep all equipment used for grooming animals sanitized and cleaned at all times.
- Maintain quality results by providing services in accordance with Woofie’s standards.
- Protect pets and self by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- In the event of a pet medical emergency, follow procedures along with immediately notifying pet parent and back office team.
- Resolve customer dissatisfactions by listening to and attempting to address issues directly with client and reporting all incidents, outcomes and needed follow-up details to the back office team.
- Maintain pet records by documenting services and updating information. Provides grooming notes and completed service orders within 24 hour post groom.
- Turn in all checks and cash received at the end of shift. Cash must be reported to back office when received, and properly secured as per detailed procedure.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and networking. Mandatory training may be required on a case by case basis
- Maintain Mobile Pet Spa vans by keeping them clean and orderly each day. Complete van tasks according to cleaning schedule provided in each van. Inspect the van for damage and fill out a vehicle inspection report prior to leaving Woofie’s and upon returning the van to Woofie’s
- Perform assigned clerical, supply, van deep cleaning and van inventory tasks as assigned.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Mobile Pet Spa Director or Owners of Company.

Qualifications
- minimum 1 year experience, training may be required
- must have a valid Driver's License in SC
- must be okay using personal cell phone for schedule
