Woofie’s of Western Loudoun is a locally owned and operated mobile pet grooming business. We bring a luxury grooming experience directly to our clients’ homes, providing personalized care in a calm, one-on-one environment.

Our groomers typically see 3–6 dogs per day, giving you the time to do quality work without constantly feeling rushed.

Our team manages scheduling, marketing, sales, and client communication. You get to focus on grooming instead of spending your day filling your calendar or answering scheduling questions.

A professional mobile grooming environment.
You’ll work in a state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Sprinter grooming van outfitted by Wag’n Tails.

Independence with a team behind you.
You’ll have your own route and appointments while our back-office and fleet teams provide the support you need.

The Job

As a Mobile Pet Stylist, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services and making sure every pup has a safe, comfortable experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-service professional dog grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, cutting, shaving, and trimming.
• Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments.
• Walk dogs before appointments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming environment.
• Safely operate the mobile grooming van and grooming equipment.
• Follow Woofie’s grooming, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Communicate professionally with pet parents.
• Provide a positive customer experience from start to finish.

What You Bring

• 2 years of professional dog grooming experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong grooming skills and knowledge of professional grooming techniques
• Ability to safely handle dogs up to 100 lbs
• Ability to safely use a grooming table, lift, and other van equipment
• Comfortable working independently
• Professional and friendly with pet parents
• Comfortable using a smartphone
• Reliable and dependable
• Pride in your work and a genuine love for dogs

Compensation & Benefits

• $25–$50/hour (includes commissions and tips)
• $250 signing bonus after 90 days of employment, provided you remain in good standing

Our Hiring Process

We keep it simple:

2. Phone Interview: A brief conversation with the owner to learn more about you and what you’re looking for.

3. Virtual Interview: A 30-minute conversation with our Grooming Manager about your experience and grooming skills.

4. Background check: A criminal background and motor vehicle record check to ensure you meet the requirements of our insurance coverage.

5. The Pawdition: A An on-site technical grooming assessment to showcase your grooming skills.

6. Offer: If we’re a good fit, we’ll move forward with an offer and welcome you to the Woofie’s team!

Getting Started

Your first week includes training and ride-alongs to familiarize you with our van, equipment, systems, procedures, and grooming standards.

We want you to feel comfortable and prepared before you’re out on the road independently.
