About Woof Play Eat
Woof Play Eat is Portland’s first indoor dog park restaurant bar Dog Daycare. We’re building a community where dogs and their humans can play, eat, and connect together. To keep tails wagging and playtime safe, we’re hiring Dog Park Attendants and Wooferees — two unique roles in our one-of-a-kind business. Have the ability to work between both roles if it feels right!
Dog Daycare Attendant (Daycare Role)
- Daytime role, Monday–Friday, daycare hours 7:00 a.m- 6pm. Flexible hours from 4-8 per day
- Care for dogs while their owners are at work: feeding, structured play, enrichment, and rest periods.
- Provide a safe, clean, and engaging environment in the daycare program.
- Communicate with clients about their dog’s day.
- Patriciapte in Dog Events
Wooferee (Off-Leash Park Role)
- Days, Evening and weekend shifts in the open member park.
- Supervise group play in the off-leash area while members are present.
- Keep play safe, step in when it gets too “ruff,” and interact with members to create a welcoming environment.
- Act as the “referee of fun” — keeping both pups and people happy.
Who You Are
- A true dog lover who enjoys being around pups of all sizes.
- Reliable, energetic, and able to handle an active, playful environment.
- Strong communicator (with both people and dogs!).
- Comfortable cleaning, sanitizing, and keeping play areas fresh.
- Previous animal care, daycare, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll train our pack!

Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including regular cleaning of all areas kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents.
- Provide basic care such as feeding, and ensuring access to fresh water.
- Assist with bathing and brushing dogs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise.
- Keep accurate records of dog activities, health issues, and any incidents that occur during daycare hours.
- Participate in training sessions for dogs when applicable, utilizing your knowledge of dog training techniques.
Experience
Ideal candidates should possess one or more of the following experiences:
- Dog training experience or certification.
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience.
- Previous roles in pet grooming or pet sitting.
- Experience handling animals in a kennel or daycare setting.
- Strong background in animal care and handling techniques, including animal restraint when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for handling large breeds or moving equipment.
